In August, some students will start filling their backpacks with pencils, new crayons, and calculators for classes. The start of the 2020 school year might bring anxiety to parents within the United States. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many families are looking for safe options to protect their children. Many parents have opted for homeschool or virtual classes to keep their youngsters safe. Others prefer face-to-face learning within the school.

With so many options - comes confusion. We at PackagingSuppliesByMail are here to keep your kiddos safe—no matter if their learning outside the home or within. We have generated a list of questions and answers to guide families sending their students back to school.

How will students socially distance within the classroom?

Many elementary and middle school classrooms are not designed for 25 students to appropriately socially distance. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), “Face coverings . . . are most essential in times when physical distancing is difficult.” PackagingSuppliesByMail carries Kid’s Face Masks to keep students safe while learning. These face masks have a 3-layer protection to help protect against germs & bacteria. Not all students will wear masks. The CDC recommends that face coverings should not be placed on children under 2 years old or those with current breathing problems.

Thermometer

How will faculty ensure students are safe entering schools?

Faculty members can ensure student safety by creating a “temperature checkpoint”. Meaning, multiple faculty members can greet students at the school entrance with Contactless Thermometers to take temperatures. These contactless thermometers can assess student temperatures quickly and notify faculty of high temperatures immediately. School districts can also automate temperature checkpoints using Thermal Imagers—that can continuously display temperature readings in real-time on a computer as students enter the building.

Safety Glasses
